CONGRATULATIONS!

Capital United, coached by Keith Vilamil, took First Place in the U23 Womens Division at this year's Clifton Park Tournament. Cap U. defeated Q United, coached by John Quimby in the finals, in a 1-0 match that went into two overtimes and then ended in penalty kicks.


CP Celtic, coached by Marty Wolfson, took First Place in the U23 Men's Division, giving this team their second consecutive tournament championship. CP Celtic 2 defeated CP Raven 1, coached by Beth Potter, by a score of 2-1.





The New York Premier Soccer League [NYPSL] is beginning its third season. The NYPSL offers both a men's and women's divisions. The objective of the NYPSL is to provide players between U18 and U23 with training and match opportunities during the summer months in preparation for the college season. Teams are primarily from the Capital District of New York; however, teams from Dutchess County and Syracuse participate. The season begins the first week of June and concludes the first week of August. The season consists of a ten to twelve match schedule with an emphasis on training. The NYPSL is a member of the Eastern District Soccer League (EDSL) and is an affiliate of United States Adult Soccer League, US Soccer and FIFA.
