CONGRATULATIONS!

The Clifton Park Celtic placed first in the Clifton Park International Soccer Tournament women's division by besting "Q" United in the finals. Ashely Clinton was named Tournament MVP for the Celtics and Jillian Lyons was Tournament MVP for the "Q" United squad.

In the men's U23 division, Bethlehem upset Tournament favorite Syracuse in the finals to place first in this extremely competetive division.

The New York U23 State Cup was played in LaGrange on July 26. Shenentaha Mad Dogs and and Clifton Park Celtic participated from our League. After two hard fought matches with LaGrange and Cortland from the Southern U23 league, both teams were defeated. As a result, the two teams share third palce in the U23 State Cup Tournament. The finals will be played later this weekend.




The New York Premier Soccer League [NYPSL] is beginning its third season. The NYPSL offers both a men's and women's divisions. The objective of the NYPSL is to provide players between U18 and U23 with training and match opportunities during the summer months in preparation for the college season. Teams are primarily from the Capital District of New York; however, teams from Dutchess County and Syracuse participate. The season begins the first week of June and concludes the first week of August. The season consists of a ten to twelve match schedule with an emphasis on training. The NYPSL is a member of the Eastern District Soccer League (EDSL) and is an affiliate of United States Adult Soccer League, US Soccer and FIFA.
